Currently, sync does not work regardless of if you’re using a Microsoft Account or a Work Account. However, you can sign in to a Work Account once you enable something in edge://flags.
Go to the address bar, type in: edge://flags, hit enter.
Do a search for aad.
Change it from default to enabled.
Relaunch Edge.
