First post in almost a year. I’m heavily invested in using ChatGPT, Claude, etc., to develop my own internal software. However, I also see the problems that are arising from AI in general. The datacenter buildouts, the memory buyouts for years to come, and the skyrocketing hardware prices, I believe, are going to lead to long-term problems for many industries. I run a small Managed Services Provider business providing outsourced IT for small businesses. Workstations and servers are skyrocketing in price. Servers are doubling in cost, sometimes tripling.
